Viz Kids makes communicating with children easier by giving families and professionals the ability to display their speech as visual images so the child can better understand, recall and respond to the information. There is no faster way to access visuals than with Viz Kids.

1. GIVE CLEAR CHOICES
- Say choices separated by the word OR: “juice OR water OR milk OR tea”
- See images representing the choices. The child can tap on the option they prefer to expand it. Want to personalize a visual? Simply take a photo or upload one from your image library.

2. SET SCHEDULES FAST
- Say activities separated by the word THEN: “bathroom THEN book THEN bed”
- See images for each activity. Tap each visual to check them off. Create the schedule on the child’s tablet for independent work.

3. RELIEVE STRESS IN TRANSITIONS
- Say the activity that follows the countdown: “COUNTDOWN THEN car”
- See a countdown that can be checked off to prepare the child for disengaging from their current activity and engaging in the next one.

4. MOTIVATE MORE EFFECTIVELY
- Say the unpreferred activity and the reward: “broccoli REWARD Oreos”
- See a simple diagram displaying what will happen if they complete or do not complete the unpreferred activity. You can also enumerate the unpreferred activity (e.g. 5 bites of broccoli) to be completed before the reward is received.

5. EXPLAIN CONDITIONALS
-Say 2 conditionals and their results: “IF sun THEN bikes. IF rain THEN toys.”
-See a simple diagram displaying the 2 conditionals and their results.

6. TIME BOX TASKS
- Say the current task and timer: “toothbrush TIMER 2 minutes”
- See an image of the current task above a timer that helps the child gauge how much time is left.

7. PROMOTE POSITIVE BEHAVIOR
- Press the “behavior” button
- See a list of common behavior visuals like listen, sit down, raise your hand, wait, share, etc. Tap on the one you want to show the child. You can also display a visual by simply recording yourself stating the specific behavior.

8. DETERMINE FEELINGS
- Press the “feelings” button
- See a list of common emotion visuals like happy, sad, excited, angry, etc. Scroll through the list and have the child tap on the visual that represents their feeling.

9. RESET SCHEDULES EVEN FASTER
- Press the “schedules” button
- See a list of past schedules that you can tap on to display again. This is handy for daily schedules like morning and bedtime routines.

10. SEARCH FOR UNKNOWN WANTS AND NEEDS
- Press the “library” button
- See a list of past visuals that might help you discover the child’s unknown want or need. You can also have the child look through the list and choose the visual.

Viz Kids has simplified accessing visuals to make communication with children easier, improving the lives of children and adults alike.
